‘Vivo’ From Lin-Manuel Miranda, Quiara Alegria Hudes Moves up Release to November 2020
The release date for the Sony animated movie Vivo has moved up a month from December 18, 2020 to November 6, 2020.
The film features music from Lin-Manuel Miranda and a script from In the Heights’ Quiara Alegria Hudes.
The story follows a thrill-seeking Capuchin monkey with (naturally) a passion for music who travels from Havana to Miami.

Miranda is working with Alan Menken on music for the live action version of The Little Mermaid.
The busy actor/musician just won a Grammy for How Far I’ll Go from Moana and will return to his signature role of Alexander Hamilton for a short run in Puerto Rico in 2019.
As if that wasn’t enough, he is also executive producing and composing music for Showtime’s Kingkiller Chronicles.
Miranda will next be seen on the big screen as Jack in Mary Poppins Returns, which floats into theaters Dec. 25.
