Syfy’s ‘Happy’ Renewed For Season Two

Syfy’s latest hit show, Happy, is about to have its season one finale tonight and it was just announced that the series will be renewed for a second season.

Happy was ranked as Syfy’s best premiere since The Magicians in January 2016 in all their key demographics.

About the series, President, Entertainment Networks, NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment, Chris McCumber said, “Happy! struck a chord with our Syfy audience and disrupted the TV landscape with its unique storytelling and outrageous performances led by Christopher Meloni.”

McCumber continued, “If people thought this season was crazy – I can’t wait for fans to see what Grant Morrison, Brian Taylor and the entire cast and crew have in store for Sax and Happy!”

Based on the graphic novel of the same name created by Grant Morrison, Happy stars Christopher Meloni as Nick Sax, an ex-detective turned hitman and Patton Oswalt as Happy, the imaginary friend of a Hailey, a girl who’s been kidnapped. Happy seeks Nick’s help to find his friend once more.

Catch the season finale of Happy tonight on Syfy at 10pm ET and for Canadian viewers, catch the series on Showcase, Thursday at 10pm ET.
