A few months ago it was revealed that David Gordon Green (Pineapple Express) was working on a sequel for Halloween (1978), a film that will ignore all sequels that have happened through the years since the first instalment.

While it’s been known for a while that Jamie Lee Curtis was returning to the franchise, it’s both a surprise and an intrigue to see her back on set, looking a lot like she did in the original film, except 40 years older.

Through her official Twitter account, Curtis has shared our first look at Halloween set, as well as marking the start production date.

Curtis will be joined in this upcoming sequel with Judy Greer as Laurie’s daughter Karen, and Andi Matichak as her granddaughter Allyson.

This film will mark the return of John Carpenter to the franchise as well, both as Executive Producer and in charge of music duties for the film.

What do you think about this news? Are you excited about this upcoming film?
