‘Metropolis’ Series Starring Lois Lane Coming To DC Comics Streaming Service
The DC Comics streaming service will be here before you know it and fans who love every corner of the DC Comics universe will finally have their own domain to engulf themselves in everything DC related. One of those corners is none other than the immaculate city of Metropolis which is home to one of DC’s most popular superheroes — Superman.
That’s right. The DC streaming service is adapting a weekly live action TV series called Metropolis.
The series takes place before Superman emerges as the city’s Man Of Steel and will follow Lois Lane and Lex Luthor as they investigate the world of fringe science and uncover the city’s dark and bizarre secrets. It will air exclusively on the DC streaming service and promises to show us a wondrous and awe-inspiring City of Tomorrow.
The show will be produced by John Stephens and Danny Cannon who are also the executive producers on the show Gotham which has a similar premise that tells the story of Gotham City before the emergence of our favorite Dark Knight, Batman.
Metropolis is said to start production later in the year with an expected premiere date in 2019. Stay tuned for more details and casting announcements in the future. Does this sound like a series you would tune in to watch? Share your thoughts in the comments below
