Epic Games is Shutting Down ‘Paragon’

Epic Games, the developer of the Unreal Engine and Fortnite has announced that it is shutting down Paragon, its upcoming MOBA title. Paragon, which never left its beta phase, is going to be taken down on April 26, with Epic Games cutting off all of the game’s servers.

The game, which initially opened its beta in March of 2016, wavered between being pay-to-play and free-to-play, and would have been a competing title to Blizzard’s Heroes of the Storm. Epic has said that its attention is going to be more focused on Fortnite, which has already hit 40 million players.

If you played Paragon and purchased anything for the game, Epic is offering a full refund to all players, citing that the interest in the game is simply not sustainable to keep it up and running.
