‘Daredevil’ Season 3 Adds Joanne Whalley as Sister Maggie

While there isn’t an official release date for the return of Matt Murdock, we still have some news every now and then, like set photos, the announcement that Wilson Fisk will return and the casting of Wilson Bethel, and the recent addition to Joanne Whalley to its cast.

According to Deadline, Whalley -better known for her work in Gossip Girl and White Princess– has been cast as Sister Maggie in the upcoming Season of the Marvel series, which further fuels the rumour that we will be seeing an adaptation of the Born Again storyline.

In said comic, Sister Maggie is the one who nurses Matt back to full strength, and taking into account the finale of The Defenders, well, it makes sense. Besides, there’s a particular connection so it’ll be interesting to see what Netflix and Erik Oleson are preparing.

The news was later confirmed by Daredevil’s official Twitter account, with the caption “John 12:40”, which directs you to:

“He has blinded their eyes
  and hardened their hearts,
so they can neither see with their eyes,
  nor understand with their hearts,
nor turn—and I would heal them.”

What do you think about this news? Do you think Daredevil will be true to the comics or will they show us something different?
Let us know in the comment section down below!

Daredevil season 3 is set to return somewhere around late 2018.
