For some time, a trailer for Solo: A Star Wars Story has been the cause of some questions and wondering, as there hasn’t been a word on where or when the trailer will drop and the movie is set to premiere in just a few months.
Before worrying it’s important to remember that Lucasfilm does not tend to advertise two movies at the same time, so it’s likely that the missing propaganda for Solo is due to the studio’s effort to focus on Star Wars: The Last Jedi -which premiered last December-.
As a little more than a month has passed since its premiere, people’s attention is moving towards Solo, the Star Wars film set to premiere this year telling the story of how Han, Lando Calrissian, and Chewbacca met, became friends and became the heroes we know and love, as revealed in the official synopsis.
Board the Millennium Falcon and journey to a galaxy far, far away in Solo: A Star Wars Story, an all-new adventure with the most beloved scoundrel in the galaxy. Through a series of daring escapades deep within a dark and dangerous criminal underworld, Han Solo meets his mighty future copilot Chewbacca and encounters the notorious gambler Lando Calrissian, in a journey that will set the course of one of the Star Wars saga’s most unlikely heroes.
While the synopsis came from the official Star Wars site, nothing much has been said through official channels about this film. However, according to Star Wars Junk –whose source was an AMC corporate- has said that around next week, on Wednesday, Solo‘s trailer will drop, and will be shown before Maze Runner: The Death Cure when it hits theatres.
While it’s not 100% confirmed, it’s interesting that this is the second time a Solo trailer has been rumored to arrive on January, as its only four months before the film premieres.
We’ll know on Wednesday is this rumor turned out to be true.
