Fresh off last night’s Producers Guild of America (PGA) Awards, the sequel to 2017’s smash hit, Wonder Woman, will be the first film to adopt the new guidelines put in place by the PGA.

The guidelines consist of initial recommendations from the PGA’s Anti-Sexual Harassment Task Force, which was created last October after Hollywood’s sexual harassment scandal came to light. The new guidelines were issued on Friday, before the guild had its award ceremony with the expectation that the guidelines will be followed by all 8,200 of its members.

According to author and Vanity Fair Hollywood correspondent, Rebecca Keegan, PGA presidents, Gary Lucchesi and Lori McCreary announced that Wonder Woman 2 will become the first film to officially take on the new guidelines.

In a joint statement, Lucchesi and McCreary said, “Sexual harassment can no longer be tolerated in our industry or within the ranks of the Producers Guild membership. We provide key leadership in creating and sustaining work environments built on mutual respect, so it is our obligation to change our culture and eradicate this abuse. While the PGA is a voluntary membership organization, the PGA’s Anti-Sexual Harassment Guidelines are sanctioned as best practices for our members.”

Lucchesi and McCreary said they worked with the Time’s Up organization, Anita Hill and other organizations in order to put the protocols in place. The duo said, “We will continue to work with them, the industry-wide Commission led by Anita Hill, and other organizations in our community until sexual harassment is eliminated from the entertainment workplace.”

  1. What do I think? Well it’s a shame that these “guidelines” weren’t in place off the rip. Crazy world man…
