‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ Has a Projected Box Office Total of $1.3 Billion
There was never any doubt that the latest installment of the Star Wars franchise was going to do well and it’s still climbing almost a full month after its release. The Last Jedi was the highest grossing film of 2017 domestically and globally, is currently in the top 50 of highest grossing films in North America, and the 10th highest grossing film of all time.
The total box office for Star Wars: The Last Jedi currently sits at 1.2 billion and is still estimated to do at least 15-20 million domestically more during the rest of its theatrical run while it’s foreign numbers are projected to be somewhere in the range of 30-35 million. The final estimated count is supposed to fall somewhere in the range of 1.32 billion, but an estimate is just that, and the movie could surpass it easy. The Last Jedi is the second highest grossing film of the entire Star Wars franchise, the first spot being taken by The Force Awakens which was released in 2015.
