‘Toy Story 4’ Signs On New Writer
Pixar continues the onward with the next installation of the Toy Story series by signing on Stephany Folsom. She is a screenwriter who will take over the writing of Toy Story 4.
Folsom was a writer for Thor: Ragnarok though she was denied credit by the WGA. She also has written an original script called 1969: A Space Odyssey Or: How Kubrick Learned To Stop Worrying And Land On The Moon.
Originally, Rashida Jones and her writing partner Will McCormack were set to write the script for the film. However, the two left after a supposed issue with John Lasseter who has taken a six-month break after some questionable behavior towards women.
This film is hugely important to Disney and Pixar, especially since Toy Story 3 topped around $1 billion at the box office. Toy Story 4 is set for release on June 21, 2019.
What do you think of adding Folsom to the writing team? Will you watch the next Toy Story? Tell us your thoughts below!
