Ron Cephas Jones in Talks to be ‘Shazam’s’ Wizard
Fresh off the confirmation that Mark Strong will play Shazam’s villain Doctor Sivana comes word that another high-profile actor may be joining the cast.
The Wrap is reporting that Ron Cephas Jones is in talks to play the Wizard that gives Billy Batson the power to become Shazam.

Jones is best known as This is Us’ William. A role which earned him Emmy and SAG nominations. Comic book fans will recognize him as Luke Cage’s Bobby Fish.
Jones would join the previously announced Zachary Levi as Shazam, Asher Angel as Billy Batson, Grace Fulton as Mary Bromfield, Jack Dylan Grazer as Freddie Freeman, Ian Chen as Eugene Choi, Jovan Armand as Pedro Pena, Faithe Herman as Darla Dudley and Cooper Andrews as Victor Vasquez.
Dwayne Johnson will portray Black Adam is his own standalone movie, but there are rumors he may have a cameo in Shazam.
Directed by David F. Sandberg (Annabelle: Creation), Shazam goes into production early this year and is scheduled for release April 5, 2019.
