‘Supergirl’ S3 Ep.10: ‘Legion of Superheroes’ Review

Supergirl finally returned from its winter finale, picking up right where we left off, with Kara still recovering from her fight with Reign. She has been in a coma for 2 days. Mon-El and Saturn Girl have enlisted Brainiac 5 to communicate with her.

Jesse Rath is a pure delight as Brainiac, so let’s hope he sticks around for awhile.

As usual, when one of the Danvers sisters is in trouble, the other one inevitably blames herself. As such, Alex feels guilty about pushing Kara to be cold during her fight with Reign.

Hey Alex, there’s no way that your sister Supergirl getting beaten up by an evil Kryptonian is your fault in any way, shape or form.

Speaking of Reign, she is apparently back to being Sam and is shown having a fun morning with Ruby, but is triggered by a front page story about Supergirl. It’s going to so devastating when Ruby discovers her mom is the one killing all these people.

In her evil fortress, Reign is told that she is meant to bring justice by any means. She goes on a rampage through National City, killing criminals and innocents alike.

Having seen enough, the DEO attacks Reign with kryptonite weapons, but they’re not powerful enough and she easily takes them down.

After a lot of back and forth about a future destiny, the Legion of Superheroes finally steps up to fight Reign.

While all this is happening, Kara is still stuck inside her mind after she is physically able to wake up. In the end, it turns out it’s actually Kara’s life not Supergirl’s that is the key to her waking up.

She comes back just in time to inject Reign with a concentrated dose of Kryptonite and stop her in her tracks. Reign heals of course, because it can’t be that easy. And crazy Thomas shows up to pledge his allegiance to her cause.

Turns out, there are more like Reign out there, so business is about to pick up.

So, Supergirl saves the day, everything is back to normal and in case anyone cares Lena and James are dating now.

Also happening around National City:

Lena having girl talk with J’onn as Kara is just hilarious.

Bon Jovi is super important to the future of humanity.
