Patrick Wilson Wants to Return to ‘Watchmen’
With DC’s Doomsday Clock hitting comic book stores and HBO developing a Watchmen TV series with Damon Lindelof, fans have been wondering if any of the 2009 film’s cast are returning to the franchise.
While promoting his new film The Commuter with Yahoo Movies UK, Patrick Wilson confirmed that he would love to be Nite Owl again.
“It was such a joy shooting that movie, I wanted there to be more of them,” he said. “I’ve wanted to play Dan [Dreiberg] again. I certainly think we’re all more age appropriate now!”
While he’s open to coming back to the role, the actor explained that HBO and Lindelof may be looking to make a fresh start.
“There’s never been one conversation,” said Wilson. “I’m sure they want to stay as far away from us as possible but I love Damon Lindelof. I’m so excited to see what they will do.”
Wilson can be seen next when he returns to the superhero world in Aquaman, which splashes into theaters Dec. 21.
