Warner Bros. announced a release date for the latest movie in its DC Extended Universe. Shazam is scheduled to hit theaters April 5, 2019.

The film tells the story of Billy Batson, a normal boy who turns into the hero Shazam when he says the magical word.

David Sandberg (Annabelle: Creation) will direct, with Zachary Levi starring as the title hero and Asher Angel playing Billy.

Late last year Mark Strong was said to be in talks for the role of villain Doctor Sivana. Originally Dwayne Johnson was going to be big bad Black Adam, but it was decided he would receive his own movie instead.

Jack Dylan Grazer, Grace Fulton, Cooper Andrews and Ian Chen will also co-star.

Warner Bros. also removed its DC movie planned for July 27. It’s no secret there’s been some confusion surrounding the franchise since the below average performance of Justice League.

Up next for the DCEU is Aquaman starring Jason Momoa, Amber Heard, Willem Dafoe, Patrick Wilson, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Nicole Kidman. Directed by James Wan, the film splashes into theaters Dec. 21.
