Mark Hamill and Ron Perlman Cast in ‘Transformers: Prime Wars Trilogy’

Hasbro has announced that voice acting legends Mark Hamill and Ron Perlman will be joining the Transformers: Prime Wars Trilogy cast, with roles in the Power of the Primes series. Hamill—who previously starred in Transformers: Rescue Bots, will make his debut as Megatronus during the finale, while Perlman won’t appear until the series’ third chapter.

Perlman will be voicing Optimus Primal, although we don’t know if his character will be a recurring one as there are not many details regarding the number of episodes he is in. Both Hamill and Perlman are known for their voice acting work (Batman: The Animated Series, Trollhunters), as well as their iconic live-action roles such as Luke Skywalker and Hellboy. Both actors were actually featured in the Netflix show Trollhunters—Perlman is the main villain and Hamill was introduced in Season 2).

Mark Hamill and Ron Perlman will be joined by other Transformers cast members Judd Nelson (Rodimus Cron), Wil Wheaton (Perceptor), Jaime King (Solus) and WWE superstar Samoa Joe (Predaking).
