Fandango has announced that tickets presale for Marvel’s upcoming Black Panther movie has officially broken a new record for the ticket-selling platform. This means that Black Panther has surpassed Captain America: Civil War—where T’Challa made his first appearance—as the best first-day advance sales for an MCU film.
While Fandango presale tickets included a complimentary poster, there is no denying that there is a lot of interest in the superhero film since Chadwick Boseman’s T’Challa made his debut in Civil War. The first trailer for the film received more than 89 million views in less than 24 hours, making it the third most watched MCU trailer behind Civil War and Thor: Ragnarok.
Black Panther will not only have an all-star cast (Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong’o, Forest Whitaker, Angela Bassett, Letitia Wright, Daniel Kaluuya, and Martin Freeman, just to name a few) but it also features an incredible soundtrack, with music from Kendrick Lamar, SZA, Run the Jewels and Vince Staples, among others.
