‘Maleficent 2’ Begins Filming in April, ‘Justice League’ Production Designer Joins Team
Walt Disney Studios is moving forward with their 2014 sequel of Maleficent. On board to direct this film is Norwegian director Joachim Rønning (Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, Marco Polo). Angelina Jolie will also be returning to star in the titular role. However, it was uncertain for a while if Jolie would be reprising her role as she was deciding between this sequel or taking on a role in Universal’s Bride of Frankenstein.
Pre-production for the sequel will begin in April of 2018, with filming set to begin on April 16th in London. The team is aiming to wrap up filming some time later in the year in August.
