‘Cloverfield 3’ Is Expected to Premiere In April
Cloverfield is J.J. Abrams’ anthology series is known for its secrecy and mystery -we got a sequel no one knew it was being made back in 2016- as it’s never actually stated when a film of this series will premiere or what said film is about, so take precautions with this note.
The unexpected sequel
Based on some reports about Abram’s latest projects, the film is expected to be titled God Particle a story set in the near future, where a team of astronauts make a terrifying discovery that challenges all they know about “the fabric of reality,” and reportedly, this project is been in development since 2012.
The film will be directed by Julius Onah (The Girl Is in Trouble) with a script by Oren Uziel (22 Jump Street) and Doug Jung (Star Trek Beyond), starring David Oyelowo (Selma, Star Wars Rebels), Gugu Mbatha-Raw (Beyond the Lights, A Wrinkle in Time), Elizabeth Debicki (The Great Gatsby, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2), Ziyi Zhang (House of Flying Daggers, The Grandmaster) Daniel Brühl (Captain America Civil War, Inglorious Bastards) and Chris O’Dowd (The IT Crowd, Bridesmaids).
10 Cloverfield Lane
Said film was expected to premiere on February 17, 2017, but due to either marketing strategies -as this franchise is known for secrecy and last-minute trailer drops- or something else, the release date was pushed back to this year, exactly in four months, ten years after the first instalment premiered back in January 18, 2008.
