A year after the release of the original game Final Fantasy XV shook up the formula with the ‘Comrades’ Expansion. Following the release of the ‘Comrades’ multiplayer expansion, which allowed players to take part in a cooperative multiplayer story set during the 10-year time skip in the base game. Final Fantasy XV director Hajime Tabata claims that the team at Square Enix is planning to develop new content for the game through the end of 2018.

The planned content will help patch the gaps of the story by providing extra details for the main story as well as flesh out the backstory of the world, Eos. Much like the change that the multiplayer expansion brought to Final Fantasy XV, Tabata teased that the new content will provide players with a, “completely new gameplay experience,” which we can expect to hear more about early in 2018.

Would you want to see more multiplayer content hit Final Fantasy XV? Or maybe something more niche like their Monster of the Deep title for PSVR?
