Riz Ahmed Role in ‘Venom’ Film Reportedly Confirmed
When news first broke that the Emmy Award winning Riz Ahmed had been cast in the new Sony produced Venom film, speculation began to grow as to who the actor might be playing. Most theories concluded that he would be playing a live adaption of Carnage. Some even thought of the possibility of him playing The Chameleon. But it seems as if neither of those are the case.
It is being reported that Ahmed will be playing a character named Dr. Carlton Drake. In the comics, this character was the leader of the Life Foundation who was able to successfully remove five seeds from the Venom symbiote who grew to become known as Agony, Phage, Riot, Lasher and Scream. Photos from the set of Venom also surfaced online and were tweeted out with Ahmed in costume. Check it out below:

Venom stars Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock and will tell the story of how he came into contact with the Venom symbiote. The film also stars Michelle Williams, Woody Harrleson and many more.
