Doctor Who Hints at Christmas Special in Yule Log Video
It’s that time of the year where Doctor Who is just about to release their Christmas special. It’s also the time of year where people get into the holiday spirit and festivities by playing videos of fire crackling and holiday music. There are no shortages of that sort of video on YouTube, but BBC America has given us a rather special one to enjoy.
The two-hour video gives a scene of a TARDIS inside a snow globe, a fun gift that any Whovian would be happy to receive if it were real. The music is festive and lovely and sure to get you in the holiday spirit. However, what is really eye-catching and special about this video is not just the beautiful view and the whimsical background music that repeats. If you stick around long enough in the video, near the end, it shows brief clips of what’s to come in the Christmas special, which will also be Peter Capaldi’s swan song as the Doctor.
If you miss the clips, however, don’t worry. The clips have been floating around BBC in their other trailers for the upcoming special. But, this video is a fun way, if not to just get into the spirit, to catch an early glimpse of Peter Capaldi’s farewell.
