‘Psychonauts 2’ Is Delayed Past 2018
Back at the Game Awards in 2015, Double Fine Studios announced that Psychonauts 2 was in development, after years of fans begging for a sequel. Psychonauts 2, which is being crowdfunded, has now had its release date pushed out of 2018 in an update announcement to the campaign’s backers.

Tim Schafer, the director of Psychonauts, announced that the new game would finally answer questions about Raz’s family and the curse that follow them.
Since no replacement release date has been announced, Psychonauts 2 can be expected in Q1 of 2019 at the absolute earliest.
In addition to pushing the date, Double Fine released images of new characters and designs from the game, and of some of the merchandise that backers can expect. Though the game’s development timeline has been extended, the team has made a lot of progress in getting together Raz’s new story.
