More Character Descriptions Released For ‘The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina’
The hit CW show Riverdale is getting its own sister show, The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. Setting in Greendale (Riverdale’s sister city — the town mentioned in Riverdale‘s fall finale), the series will take a dark twist to the 1990s show Sabrina The Teenage Witch, and instead will bring to life the comic book published by Archie Horror — written by Riverdale’s showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa.
The dark series is beginning to cast its characters, as more descriptions have been released — specifically for Hilda and Zelda Spellman, Sabrina’s aunts. The series will also be introducing Ambrose Spellman, Sabrina’s “cousin” who wasn’t featured in the original live-action Sabrina in the 90s.
The casting call for Sabrina herself has already been revealed, as the showrunners are looking for someone who is legally 18 years or older, who is able to play a 16-year-old. All ethnicities are welcome to send in their audition tapes, and you can find more details about Sabrina’s description here.

AMBROSE SPELLMAN] Male, early 20s, African American or East Indian, British. Ambrose is Sabrina’s “cousin” and a necromancer. He is witty, puckish, pan-sexual—and loves being a witch. Trapped in the funeral home due to a binding spell, Ambrose lives in the mortuary’s attic and acts as one of Sabrina’s partners in crime…10/13 SERIES REGULAR
Dove Cameron has been a favorite for fans in which they have been casting her for the lead role. However, the show’s casting is open to all ethnicities, bringing in the chance for Sabrina to deter from her original race.
Taking on the series is Netflix, and the show is expected to air during the 2018-2019 television season.
