Marvel Comics Cancels Several Series Including ‘Gwenpool,’ ‘Luke Cage’
Marvel Comics may be heading toward its own red wedding. The announcement of its March 2018 solicitations did not include several titles.
Among the missing titles were The Unbelievable Gwenpool, Generation X, Captain Marvel, Defenders, Luke Cage and America.
On Twitter, editor Heather Antos confirmed that issue #25 in February will be the end of Gwenpool.
So the news is out – GWENPOOL #25 will be the Unbelievable finale.
I won't say my goodbyes just yet – there are still two amazing issues yet to come.
I will say you do NOT want to miss out. pic.twitter.com/tWu5R0N6Bl

Christina Strain, who writes Generation X, also used Twitter to announce that series’ end.
Hawkeye writer Kelly Thompson confirmed on Twitter that March’s issue #16 will be the last for the series, but not necessarily her finale with the character.

Luke Cage writer David F. Walker didn’t mince words when he tweeted that the series was canceled because of poor sales.
Captain Marvel’s Margaret Stohl said the creative team is “hard at work on all things Carol Danvers even now!” Though there’s still no word on the book’s status.
Unfortunately, most of the cancellations have people of color, female or LGBTQ leads, but everything always comes down to sales.
Which series will you miss the most?
