HBO’s ‘Watchmen’ Will Reportedly Begin Filming In March 2018
A few months back it was reported that HBO was working on a Watchmen TV Adaptation, with Damon Lindelof (Lost, The Leftovers) in charge of the development of the show.
Lindelof has been a fan of the comic series for a long time, calling Alan Moore “the greatest writer in the history of comics”, and wanting to honour his work by acting as an executive producer of the upcoming show, he has said that his motivations for doing so are because “we need more dangerous shows“, especially in this times we’re living in.
While there hasn’t been any kind of official statement regarding this show, according to The Hashtag Show the series has been given the green light on a pilot by HBO and will start production in March of next year. HBO and Lindelof have not been reached for comment, however.
Now, we’ll just have to wait for casting calls and casting announcements in the following months, and possibly a release date if the pilot is approved by HBO.
