Hailee Steinfield Wants To Play Batgirl In Upcoming DCEU Film
In a recent MTV interview actress Hailee Steinfield expressed interest in playing Barbara Gordon in Joss Wedon’s Batgirl film.
In the interview, she is asked if she would like to do any superhero movies and if she did who would she like to play. She responds that playing a super hero is on her “Bucket list” and when the interviewer suggests batgirl she says “that’s kind of what I was thinking, but I didn’t know what to say. I would love that.”
Director Joss Whedon has yet to reveal any details about casting or plot points, however, Warner Brother’s have been hinting that ‘Batgirl’ will enter production soon, but this has yet to be confirmed by the studio.
Hailee Steinfield is not the only actress to express interest in playing Batgirl. Both Lindsey Morgan and Priyanka Chopra have shown interest in the role and some fans are suggesting Jane Levy to play the role of Batgirl.
