Inspired by the story of Fauna Hodel , who was given away at birth. As Fauna begins to investigate the secrets to her past, she follows a sinister trail that swirls ever closer to an infamous Hollywood gynecologist, Dr. George Hodel, a man involved in the darkest Hollywood debauchery.
India Eisley (Underworld: Awakening) will be playing Fauna and Jefferson Mays will be playing George Hodel. There is also a bit of a Wonder Woman reunion with Chris Pine, and Connie Nielsen starring. Pine will play Jay Singletary, a paparazzo, who has his own sorted past with Hodel, and seeks redemption. Nielsen will play Corinna Hodel, a fading socialite who holds some dangerous secrets.
Other cast members include: Shoniqua Shondai (Bodied), Leland Orser (Berlin Station), Yul Vazquez (Last Flag Flying), Justin Cornwell (Training Day), Dylan Smith (The Death Cure), Jay Paulson (Mad Men), and Golden Brooks (Girlfriends).
Mahoney will be joining Carl Franklin (House of Cards, Homeland) who has been tapped to direct 2 episodes, presumably the final two episodes. Mahoney and Franklin will also be executive producing.
Production began in November.
