After a successful first season, Jon Bernthal will return as Frank Castle aka The Punisher for a second season. According to Netflix, “Frank’s just getting started and he’s got more work to do.”

The first season of The Punisher picks up right after Frank’s debut in season two of Daredevil, another Netflix hit. The show centers around Frank Castle who is dealing with the loss of his family and seeking revenge against those who have wronged him with the help of his partner, Micro, played by Ebon Moss-Bachrach. Along the way he uncovers a much larger conspiracy that forces him to question his past. The show also deals with heavy issues such as how veterans deal PTSD.

 Netflix has not yet announced a release date for the second season of The Punisher. The other Defenders, Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist also have all been renewed for new seasons.
