Suicide Squad Sequel to Start Filming in Fall 2018
The DCEU might be undergoing some major restructuring soon, but a Suicide Squad sequel is still in the works, with production set to start in the Fall of 2018.
Even though it received mostly mixed reviews, the Academy Award-winning film brought some fan-favorite characters like Harley Quinn and Deadshot to the big screen, so it’s exciting to see what else they have in store for the universe.
Directed by Gavin O’Connor, the film was set to start production in March 2018, but it was moved to the fall in order to accommodate Will Smith’s schedule. Smith–who plays Deadshot—will be wrapping production on Ang Lee’s Gemini Man and Guy Ritchie’s Aladdin in 2018. It is not DC’s only upcoming sequel, as Patty Jenkins’ Wonder Woman is also set to start filming next summer.
There is still no confirmation as to whether we’ll see Black Adam yet or not, but Suicide Squad 2 is expected to feature most of the original cast, with Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn, Viola Davis’ Amanda Waller and even Jared Leto’s Joker set to return.

I hope two things: 1) they give the writers more time to actually write the movie. 2) they give creative control to the director.
Im not hopeful about saving Leto’s Joker tbh.
