This weekend Omega Underground revealed that the Spider-Man: Homecoming sequel will begin filming in June of 2018, with director Jon Watts and Tom Holland as Peter Parker/Spider-Man returning.

Due to a leaked audition tape on Vimeo, it seems that the Spider-ManHomecoming sequel may feature a Gwen Stacy with a twist. The audition tape is from a young French woman named Louna, who does not change her accent throughout the audition tape, possibly indicating that Gwen Stacy may be a foreign exchange student in the upcoming sequel.

Jon Watts’ introduction of Gwen Stacy would introduce Peter Parker’s first and arguably most important love interests and could possibly indicate a love triangle between Gwen Stacy, Michelle/”MJ”  (Zendaya) and Peter (Tom Holland).

Spider-Man will appear alongside the Avengers and the Guardians of the Galaxy in Avengers: Infinity War on May 4.

How do you think they should cast Gwen Stacy? Tell us in the comments below!

  1. How do audition tapes work? you just record it and upload it? I guess your agent sends it, but I saw some auditions tapes for Arianne Martell and the character never actually showed up, such confusion.
