‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ Sequel May Begin Filming in June
With Black Panther, Avengers: Infinity War and Ant-Man and the Wasp set to hit theaters in 2018, Marvel Studios is also working on its schedule for the next movies to begin production.
Omega Underground is reporting that the sequel to Spider-Man: Homecoming is scheduled to start filming in Atlanta in June 2018 and wrap up sometime in winter.
The film will once again star Tom Holland as Peter Parker/Spider-Man and probably have Jon Watts directing with Erik Sommers and Chris McKenna writing. Marisa Tomei, Jacob Batalon and Zendaya are also expected to return.
With a worldwide box office of $880 million, Spider-Man: Homecoming was the fourth highest grossing movie of 2017. It’s currently fifth on the list of MCU films.
Spider-Man: Homecoming is available on Blu-Ray and digital streaming.
Before the sequel, Spider-Man can be seen fighting alongside the rest of the MCU in Avengers: Infinity War May 4.
