Jordan Peele ‘The Twilight Zone’ Reboot Greenlit for CBS All Access

Jordan Peele’s 2017 continues to get better, as his reboot of classic sci-fi/horror series The Twilight Zone has been greenlit for CBS All Access.

The streaming arm of CBS is the home of Star Trek: Discovery and The Good Wife spinoff The Good Fight.

Peele will produce along with X-Men franchise boss Simon Kinberg and The Defenders’ Marco Ramirez.

“Too many times this year it’s felt we were living in a twilight zone, and I can’t think of a better moment to reintroduce it to modern audiences,” Peele said.

The Twilight Zone was brought back once in the mid 80s and again in 2002. The original is a syndication staple and Syfy will no doubt once again air its annual New Years marathon.

“The original The Twilight Zone bridged science fiction, horror, and fantasy together to explore human nature and provide social commentary in a way that audiences had never seen before,” CBS All Access executive Julie McNamara said. “Under the auspices of Jordan Peele, Simon Kinberg, and Marco Ramirez, and with the creative freedom that the CBS All Access platform affords, this is an incredible opportunity to bring today’s audiences a modern reimagining of this iconic series.”

CBS All Access has not yet announced how many episodes have been ordered or when the show will premiere, but Geeks of Color will keep you updated on the show’s status.

Will you watch the new Twilight Zone?
