Avengers Infinity War is looking like will be the film that marks the beginning of the end of an era, uniting most of Marvel’s heroes on the big screen against Thanos and The Black Order, marking him as the deadliest adversary the Avengers have faced in their lives.

So far, we have the first official trailer for this upcoming film, breaking the record of the most watched trailer in the first 24 hours after its release, but while most of us are speculating exactly what are we going to see in theatres, there are others who are concerned about the fate of some of our heroes.

It is known that most of the actors who have been in the MCU since the beginning are ending their contracts with Marvel after Avengers 4, but that doesn’t mean they can’t extend them a little longer… That’s it if Marvel doesn’t kill them off in Avengers Infinity War or in Avengers 4.

In a recent interview with Vanity Fair, Anthony Russo revealed that there were certain limitations on who they were allowed to kill off in their films, as they don’t have much voice in what’s next for the MCU.

“We’re not participating in any thought whatsoever about what happens after these movies. So we know who we’re allowed to kill, and that’s about it. I don’t even think Marvel had any ideas about where they would go after [Avengers 3 and 4]. It’s not an end for all of these characters; it’s an end for some of these characters. So some of these characters will go on. So it’s more complicated, that’s why it’s not a clean ending.”

His words are interesting enough to analyse, that’s for sure, but what’s more important here is the fact that he said “it’s not a clean ending”, making us wonder what exactly does he mean. Is it the end end like Kevin Feige has teased, or just a mere end of a chapter, with more stories to be told in the future?
