Back in October, a few days before New York Comic-Con, Warner Bros. announced that somewhere during 2018 they would be bringing us a new Batman animated film, besides Batman: Gotham by Gaslight, in the form of an anime film, titled Batman Ninja.

In the statement, Warner announced that Takashi Okazaki, Afro Samurai creator, was the man in charge of the character design in the film, while Junpei Mizusaki (better known for his production work in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure) will serve as the director of the film, with a script from Kazuki Nakashima (Kill La Kill) and Leo Chu (Supah Ninjas, Afro Samurai: Resurrectionand Eric Garcia (Supah Ninjas, Afro Samurai: Resurrection, Recess Taking the Fifth Grade) for the English script adaptation.

Today, after months since the announcement, we finally have our first look at this new film, in the form of two trailers -one with English subtitles and the other one without subtitles- and a brand new poster, where we can see not only Batman but the Joker, Harley Quinn, Catwoman, Alfred and all the Robins in Japanese medieval costumes.

So far, the synopsis reads like this, according to IMDb

Batman, along with a number of his allies and adversaries, finds himself transplanted from modern Gotham City to feudal Japan.

Here are the two trailers released for Batman Ninja, both of them with English subtitles.
