First Look At ‘Junji Ito Collection’ Horror Anime
In just one minute and twenty seconds, we are shown the horrors the famous Japanese manga artist better known for his work in Uzumaki and Tomie, Junji Ito is capable of creating.
Directed by Shinobu Tagashira, Junji Ito Collection is a new horror anime series that will adapt the stories from both the 11-volume Junji Ito Masterpiece Collection series and the Fragments of Horror book.
However, it was not revealed how this stories will be adapted, so many characters loved by fans might not appear in the anime. So far, the only information we have is the announcement of the cast of this upcoming show alongside the character they’re playing:
The opening song will be The Pinballs’ Shichitenbattou no Blues, which we can hear in the teaser trailer shown above.

Junji Ito Collection is set to premiere on January 5, 2018, through on WOWOW with an additional broadcast to follow on Tokyo MX starting on January 7, 2018.
