In the magic world things are always changing.
The new series based on The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina comic was originally developed for The CW as part of its Riverdale universe. Now, the show has moved to Netflix with a 20 episode order.
With the change it is unclear if Sabrina and Riverdale will still live in the same world.
The series will match the darker tone of the comics and have a feel similar to classic horror films Rosemary’s Baby and The Exorcist.
Chief Creative Officer of Archie Comics Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa is writing and executive producing, while frequent Riverdale director Lee Toland Krieger is also directing and executive producing.
Sabrina was previously featured in the ABC TGIF family comedy Sabrina the Teenage Witch starring Melissa Joan Hart. Needless to say, the new series will be quite different from that one.
Riverdale airs Wednesdays at 8 pm on The CW.
