Said Taghmaoui recently announced on Twitter that he will no longer appear in the second season of FX’s Legion.

Legion takes place in the X-Men universe where powerful mutant David Haller (Dan Stevens) is in a mental hospital because he thinks his visions and delusions are part of his illness. The show is unique in that it’s never quite clear what’s in David’s head and what’s real.

Taghmaoui is known for playing Sameer in Wonder Woman.

He was set to play villain Amahl Farouk, who is also the Shadow King. In season one the character was seen as David’s friend Lenny (Aubrey Plaza) and as a monster played by Quinton Boisclair.

Season two of Legion began production in September and it’s thought that Taghmaoui’s role will be recast.
