‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ on Track For Over $200 Million Domestic Box Office Debut
It’s almost time friends. Star Wars: The Last Jedi hits theaters in about 3 weeks and I couldn’t be more excited! Apparently, the rest of the country is just as, if not more excited about the next installment to the Star Wars universe. There’s no doubt that the hype is strong with this one (see what I did there? haha) and that the turn out is going to be huge.
According to a report from THR, The Last Jedi is set to make over $200M domestically on its opening. Only a few films can say they’ve broke this astounding record, the highest being Star Wars: The Force Awakens which pulled in $248M. After Force Awakens you have Jurassic World ($208.8M) & The Avengers ($207.4M) in the over $200M club. I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again, Disney continues to DOMINATE the box office.
