Tom King Will Introduce A Brand New Villain For Batman In ‘Batman #38″
Tom King has been writing the bi-weekly main Batman issue ever since June 2016, back when DC’s Rebirth started, and now, more than a year later, it’s time for a new and original villain to make his way into the vigilante’s life.
The villain will be introduced in the issue #38 as a single-issue standalone story, and according to King himself, through a tweet, ““It’s a Batman as dark detective issue and introduces my first original Bat-villain who’ll play a big role going forward. I kind of love it.”
To make sure @Joelle_Jones could draw the Wonder Woman issues we added a one and done in 38. It's a Batman as dark detective issue and introduces my first original Bat villain who'll play a big role going forward. I kind of love it. https://t.co/20gwtJc0os

Note: The “Wonder Woman issue” makes reference to the new storyline in King’s Batman where it’ll be explored Batman’s relationship with his Justice League teammates, including Wonder Woman and Superman.
Reportedly, the name of the issue will be The Origin of Bruce Wayne and alongside the title, there was a summary of the synopsis of the issue’s story…
“The Origin of Bruce Wayne. If Mattie could grow up to be anybody, he’d grow up millionaire playboy Bruce Wayne. But what would happen if he was forced to relive the worst tragedy of Bruce’s life and his parents were murdered? Batman’s hunt for the killer puts him face to face with a strange mirror version of his own past.”
While it’s great to have a new villain in the Bat-verse, it will be interesting to see how it holds up against Batman’s rouges, as they are known to be quite something else.
