Pixar’s ‘Coco’ To Beat ‘Justice League’ at Thanksgiving Box Office

Disney-Pixar’s latest masterpiece  “Coco” dropped in US theaters this past Wednesday and earned a first-day total of $13.2 million, which included $2.3 million from Tuesday night previews.

Variety reports that ‘Coco’ is heading for a clear victory over “Justice League” at the Thanksgiving holiday box office. Coco will finish around $70 million by Sunday, while Justice League will fall to $60 million. “Justice League” earned $10.5 million on Wednesday for a six-day total of $122.4 million. The movie should hit $170 million by the end of the weekend.

“Coco” is already a huge blockbuster success in Mexico with $48.8 million. It currently holds the record for biggest opening of all time in Mexico box offices.

Disney-Marvel’s “Thor: Ragnarok” is holding strong in its fourth week of being in theaters. It is expected to finish the week with about $20 million at 3,281 sites. The third “Thor” took in $4 million on Wednesday, giving the Marvel movie $257 million in its first 20 days.
