For some time, DC Comics has been publishing comic book series, known as New Super-Man, focussing on 17-year-old Kenan Kong and his journey as he becomes the Super-Man of China.
In the New Super-Man comic, Kenan has had some encounters with the Chinese version of other American heroes, like Wang Baixi -the Bat-Man-, Robinbot, Peng Declan -Wonder-Woman- and Avery Ho -the Flash-, but while they had interact, nothing major has happened between this characters… until now.
According to BleedingCool, DC will be renaming New Super-Man to New Super-Man And The Justice League Of China in 2018. With a story written by Gene Luen Yang, art by Brent Peeples and Richard Friend and shipping this story with two issues, the comic will follow the team as they unite and try to save China.
Here is the official synopsis of the story:
“A new era for the Justice League of China! The New Super-Man of China and his teammates have struck out on their own, and even the Ministry’s newly formed Lantern Corps is no match for this renegade force to be reckoned with! But as China’s superhero community reorganizes itself, trouble is brewing in North Korea…and from the depths emerges a new metahuman that will change everything.”
