Lizzy Caplan in Talks to Join ‘Gambit’
Years have passed since Gambit was announced, and even though the studio has had a back and forth relationship with this film, it appears they are not ready to let it go just yet, as of recently, a release date has been settled and there is a potential director on the way.
So far, the only confirmed thing of this film -besides the release date- is Channing Tatum as the lead character, and according to today’s news, that might change soon as according to Variety, Lizzy Caplan could be joining Tatum as the female lead in the upcoming film. No specifications on which character she’ll be playing, sadly.

Lizzy Caplan on Mean Girls
Caplan is better known for her role in Masters of Sex (2013-2016), the Showtime drama about sex researchers. In her film credits, one can find films as Cloverfield, 127 Hours, Now You See Me 2, Mean Girls and Allied.
As Fox has made no comments, her involvement in the film is not official just yet, but let’s just hope she is, and things start to kick in for the X-Men spinoff that’s been trying to see the day of light for quite some time.
