The pilot is currently filming in New York and is set in the 1980s. According to EW, the series “focuses on the collision of various worlds, including the elite rich and downtown ball culture.”
The series is created by Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk, and Steven Canals, with Murphy set to direct the series.
Pose will also feature Evan Peters, Kate Mara, James Van Der Beek, and Tatiana Maslany in major roles, with Tony Award winner Billy Porter (Kinky Boots) also set to appear at some point in the show.
Pose is set to make history for having the largest number of transgender actors in series regular roles for a scripted series.
