‘Thor: Ragnarok’ Earns Over $650 Million World Wide
They don’t call us Prophets of Color for no reason folks. As predicted, Thor: Ragnarok made a killing in total box office sales during its first week. I mean, you didn’t have to be a prophet to see that Thor‘s third installation and one of the last two movies left before Avengers: Infinity War would perform well.
Thor: Ragnarok raked in an impressive $56.6M in its second weekend in North America, bringing the domestic total to $211.6M! This puts Ragnarok ahead of: The Incredible Hulk ($132M), Captain America: The First Avenger ($176M), Ant-Man ($180M), Thor ($181M) and Thor: The Dark World ($206M) according to Forbes. This all brings the movie’s total earnings to $650M worldwide!
The film, which stars: Chris Hemsworth, Tessa Thompson (bae), Mark Ruffalo, Cate Blanchett (one of my new favorite MCU villains), Tom Hiddleston, & Jeff Goldblum will continue to prosper during its third week. There is, however, the behemoth that is Justice League dropping this Thursday which will end up being some competition for Thor 3 during it’s opening week. Even with Justice League, Thor: Ragnarok is projected to pull in around $300M total domestically.
Be sure to catch Thor: Ragnarok in theaters now!
