Ben Affleck Wants ‘Graceful Segue’ Away From DCEU When the Time Comes
With Justice League just about to hit theaters, one of the team’s leaders is looking ahead to an eventual exit.
Ben Affleck, who is Bruce Wayne/Batman, discussed his future in the DC Extended Universe with USA Today.
The new Batman movie being developed by Matt Reeves (War for the Planet of the Apes) is “something I’m contemplating,” said Affleck. “You don’t do it forever, so I want to find a graceful and cool way to segue out of it.”

Affleck’s Batman is an older version of the Dark Knight, who has been protecting Gotham for quite some time.
With Warner Bros. planning movies for both Nightwing and Batgirl, Batman would seem to play a central role in the franchise’s future.
The story for The Batman is currently being rewritten. While there is no release date scheduled for Bruce’s solo outing, rumors say the film will shoot sometime in 2018.
Affleck will be seen with the rest of the Justice League when the movie hits theaters Nov. 17.
