Henry Cavill Says Fans Will See ‘The True Superman’ in Justice League

Justice League hits theaters in just six more days people, six! I’m pumped for this movie and it looks like the entire cast is too. The movie seems to have garnered some fairly positive attention from the screening results and early reviews. All of the cast members coincidentally enough talked about their characters and the evolution we’ll expect from them in Justice League. Jason Momoa spoke about how this Aquaman will differ than the one in his solo movie, and Ben Affleck teased a more traditional Batman in Justice League. Here we have Henry Cavill speaking about the “true Superman” fans will see in the movie. Check out what he said in the Justice League Collector’s Edition magazine below:

“Geoff [Johns] and I have been delving into the history of the character to get to the core of who Superman is. This is the first time we see the true Superman. The Superman who is confident, and sure, and full of hope and joy.”

It’s good to hear Justice League‘s Superman will be one every fan is familiar one. I’ve said time and time again that Cavill’s Superman/Clark Kent in the DCEU starts off as an inexperienced superhero and will take some time before he develops into the Man of Steel that we know.

Speaking of hope, Cavill also shared an emotional moment he experienced during a long day of filming when his cast mates unknowingly lifted his spirits. Check out the story below:

“It’s very, very surreal. This is a wonderful job. I love my job, especially when I’m playing Superman, but sometimes you do start to feel the wear and tear of a long day…and then I had this moment when I suddenly realized that Cyborg, Aquaman, and Wonder Woman were all standing there, and it looked so fantastic. All of a sudden, my tiredness slipped away. I wasn’t hungry any more. I just wanted to live in this moment and remember that I’m doing the thing that I wanted to do as a kid. I’m essentially playing Super Heroes, but as real as it gets as an adult. I’m very thankful for that kind of thing.”

I am hyped for this movie, y’all. Justice League drops this Friday, November 17th!
