Deal Between 20th Century Fox and the Russo Bros. Falls Through

Joe and Anthony Russo have made a name for themselves in the superhero world thanks to their work in Captain America: Winter Soldier, Captain America: Civil War, and the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers 4, but while they’re still in production for the latter, they’re looking at a future without superheroes on it.

For the past few months, the duo has been building up a production company, as they already started to option materials and opened an office in downtown Los Angeles. Their production company was supposed to work alongside FOX to bring “little movies, big movies, hard R, edgy films, arty films and big giant tentpole movies,” as said by Joe Russo, but apparently, that won’t be a reality anymore.

According to Variety -who first reported about this deal- an anonymous source claimed that both sides “were unable to come together on final terms when they were negotiating on the long-form of the deal”.

However, according to the report, both sides part ways amicably and with “doors open for future individual projects”.
