Millie Bobby Brown Reportedly Offered Starring Role in New Chronicles of Narnia

The last couple of years have been strong for newcomer Millie Bobby Brown. The young actress debuted as the star of Netflix’s hit series Stranger Things, and has made waves once more as a lead in the show’s second outing. Other opportunities are apparently being offered to her, as well. According to a report from That Hashtag Show, Brown has been approached to star in the fourth film in The Chronicles of Narnia franchise, The Silver Chair.

Chronicles of Narnia first hit the big screen with Disney’s two film adaptions of the beloved C.S. Lewis series, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (2005) and Prince Caspian (2008). Noticeably absent from theaters since Fox’s release of The Voyage of the Dawn Treader (2010), The Silver Chair, installment number four, is looking to reclaim audiences’ attention with TriStar Pictures taking the helm. Having Millie Bobby Brown aboard as lead could very well be a start in achieving just that.

As of now, there’s no word on whether Brown accepted the part that was reportedly extended to her earlier in the year. That Hashtag Show posits the Stranger Things star has already passed on the role, meaning TriStar is in search of other talent.

Presently, The Silver Chair is without a cast, but Captain America: The First Avenger’s Joe Johnston is set to direct the latest Narnia picture, which follows Jill Pole, Puddleglum, and Eustace Scrubb as they attempt to rescue King Caspian’s son, Prince Rilian. Attached to pen the script is Finding Neverland and Life of Pi’s David Magee.

If Millie Bobby Brown doesn’t take the role, who else would you like to see feature in the impending journey to Narnia? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
