‘Justice League’ Will Give Us a More Traditional Batman

In Batman V Superman, Bruce was a troubled man with a blinding rage towards a certain caped hero, but after his death -Superman’s not Batman’s- Bruce believed once again that mankind can be good and there’s hope for us in the end.

With Justice League, we’ve already been told that Batman will have his faith in humanity restored, but there’s still the question of what kind of man will Bruce Wayne be in the upcoming ensemble film.

In the most recent press Junket, held in London this past weekend, Ben Affleck -the man who is our Batman in the DCEU- talked a little about Bruce’s character development in the film.

“In this movie he is thrust into the role of having to not only work with people but bring them together and convince them to come in and try to be, some kind of gel with Wonder Woman to hold all that community effort together, and that was a really good thing to play for me.”

By being put as the one responsible for uniting the League, as well as being his leader, Ben noted that his part won’t be similar to what he played in Batman V Superman, as this time he won’t be blinded by hate and fear.

“And it also does take us to a more traditional version of Batman in the Justice League comics, and his role with the Justice League versus the less sort of typical version seen in Batman V Superman where he was blinded by rage and wanted to take on Superman, so that was a lot of fun for me,”

While is good to hear that Batman will most likely be a mentor to Flash and a leader for the League, it’s necessary to ask what will happen once Superman is back… Will he return to be the man we know in the comics? Will they be friends? Will the “Martha” business will have an impact?

To answer those questions, we just have to be patient, as Justice League is just eleven days away from us.

The League will unite on November 17, 2017.
