21st Century Fox Has Had Talks With Disney About Selling its Movie Studio
The changing media landscape has caused many entertainment companies to restructure how they do business. For 21st Century Fox that may mean selling its movie studio and other assets to Disney.
The talks are not currently ongoing, but have happened in the last few weeks.
The possible deal would include the movie studio, TV production, international assets and cable networks.

Not part of the deal are the Fox broadcast network, Fox Sports, Fox News and Fox Business Channel.
If it happens this could be game changing for superhero movies, since Fox produces the X-Men movies and Disney does the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which features The Avengers. So, while it’s still a longshot, we may be one step closer to an X-Men/Avengers movie.
Hugh Jackman was clear that Logan would be his last appearance as Wolverine. However, he did make one exception that he would play the role in an MCU movie.
“If that was on the table when I made my decision, it certainly would have made me pause. That’s for sure,” he said. “Because I always love the idea of him within that dynamic, with the Hulk obviously, with Iron Man but there’s a lot of smarter people with MBAs who can’t figure that out. You never know.”
Once again, the talks are not currently happening and no deal is said to be close, however, just the idea of talks is sure to send the nerd world into a frenzy.
Neither Disney nor Fox is commenting on the talks.
